This Wednesday, October, 29, the Sherwood School District will participate in lock-in drills at all seven school buildings. During the lock-in, staff and students are secured within their individual classrooms/offices and there is no movement in the building. No one will be allowed to enter or exit the campus until the drill has been completed. Each drill will last approximately 30 minutes. There have been several emergency preparedness improvements made in the District since the last drill and we look forward to seeing them implemented.
There will be both morning and afternoon drills so that Board members, administrators and staff have the opportunity to observe and offer feedback at two separate locations. Additionally, both Sherwood Police and our local TVF&R Station 33 will be present at various locations and will also be providing feedback during the drills.
