Parking Lot Safety

·         Your child’s safety is our priority! Drivers are often unable to see your student as they try to make their way through the drop off lane. Now that mornings are dark, and many times rainy, visibility is very poor. With everyone’s help we can keep everyone safe.  When you are dropping off your student or picking him/her up, please follow these important safety rules:

o   Please use a safe speed when driving through the parking lot. It’s better to be late than to hit a pedestrian.

o   Please make sure you are letting your student in or out of the vehicle along the sidewalk leading to the activities entrance.

o   Please be sure students are ready to exit the car when you stop in order to keep the drop-off line moving.

o   Please DO NOT use the small parking lot at the front of the school for dropping and picking up your student(s).  This creates a traffic flow problem on Sherwood Blvd. which, as you know, is one of the main routes through Sherwood.

o   Please know that we make these requests for the safety of our students and staff.  We appreciate your care and caution when driving
